New Biology Curriculum Boosts Student Performance and Retention in Catalonia
The study evaluated a high school biology project in Catalonia, focusing on its quality, implementation, and outcomes. The project was found to align well with theoretical frameworks and was generally implemented as designed. Students who participated in the project tended to achieve higher grades in biology compared to those in traditional programs. They also showed better retention of knowledge and performed similarly in university entrance exams. Both students and teachers involved in the project had positive attitudes towards it.
