The study found that ovaprim is effective in breeding Labeo rohita and Catla catla in the tarai region. Catla catla breeding is more successful with ovaprim than with carp pituitary extract. Breeding of Cirrhinus mrigala was not successful in the tarai region, but more trials are needed to confirm this finding.
