Traffic engineers at DHV are improving their transport models by investigating more realistic route choice models. They found that using the shortest route principle often leads to unrealistic results. By exploring C-logit and game theory models, they aim to create more accurate predictions of traffic flow. Varying parameters in the C-logit model and testing different game theory scenarios, they aim to see if these models can outperform the shortest route principle in producing realistic route choices.
