The article introduces a new method that improves the accuracy of predictions by balancing bias and precision in statistical analysis. By using relevance weighting, the method filters out bias while incorporating all important information from the data. This approach can be applied to both nonparametric and parametric likelihoods, with the latter being used to forecast goals in ice-hockey.
