Optimizing Fertilizer Rates Boosts Super Hybrid Rice Yield and Quality
The researchers studied how different fertilizer rates affect the quality and yield of super hybrid rice. They conducted field experiments with two rice cultivars and three fertilizer treatments. The main findings were: 1) Yield and effective panicle number varied between years but not among fertilizer treatments. 2) There was a strong positive correlation between total dry matter production and grain yield in super hybrid rice. 3) The two cultivars had different physiology indexes, with LY-293 showing stronger tillering ability and ZLY-527 having higher yielding performance characteristics.
