The study looked at how different types of fertilizers and manures affect the growth and yield of maize plants. They found that using vermicompost at a certain rate led to the highest production of maize and nutrient uptake. Poultry manure also resulted in the highest profits and benefit-cost ratio. Among the inorganic fertilizers, using 100% recommended dose of fertilizer led to the best growth and yield of maize, as well as higher profits and benefit-cost ratio compared to lower doses.
