The article discusses how mutual funds in Ukraine offer a way for people to grow and protect their wealth beyond traditional bank deposits. These collective investment institutions were introduced in 2001 to provide a new investment opportunity for Ukrainian savers. While mutual funds have benefits, there are also drawbacks, especially in Ukraine's transitioning economy.
