Shade-loving plant thrives in low light, unlocking new growth possibilities.
The study looked at how Chloranthus glaber plants react to different levels of light. They grew the plants in four light conditions and measured their chlorophyll content, photosynthetic rate, and other factors. The shaded plants had more chlorophyll, higher photosynthesis, and better stomatal conductance compared to plants in full sunlight. However, the shaded plants did not have higher intercellular concentration. This shows that Chloranthus glaber plants are well-suited to low light conditions.
