The study looked at different ways to grow rice and wheat together to save labor and energy. They found that the method of planting rice didn't affect the yield, but direct-seeding in water gave the highest productivity. This method also saved the most labor and made the most money. For growing wheat, using less tillage equipment was better for saving money compared to using more equipment.
