Optimizing Fertilizer Use Boosts Blackgram and Mustard Yields and Profits
The researchers studied how different levels of nitrogen, phosphorus, and sulphur affected the yield and quality of blackgram and Indian mustard crops grown in sequence. They found that applying specific amounts of these nutrients to blackgram resulted in the highest seed and stover yields, seed weight, and net return. For Indian mustard, the best results were seen with different nutrient levels, leading to higher seed and stover yields, seed weight, and net return. The uptake of nutrients by both crops was significantly influenced by the levels of nitrogen, phosphorus, and sulphur applied.
