Optimal Salinity Level Boosts Survival and Growth of Sea Bass Larvae
Sea bass larvae were studied to see how different levels of salt in the water affect their survival and growth. The researchers tested six different salt levels, from 5 to 30 parts per thousand (ppt), and found that the larvae did best in water with 20 ppt salt. This means that sea bass larvae are most likely to survive and grow well in water with a salt level of 20 ppt.
