New Lime Process Revolutionizes Flue Gas Desulfurization, Reducing Pollution.
The Thiosorbic lime wet scrubbing process for removing sulfur dioxide from flue gas has been developed and is now being used commercially. By adding magnesium oxide to lime, the process is more effective and reliable in removing sulfur dioxide. The costs of using Thiosorbic lime for flue gas desulfurization are comparable to other methods using limestone.
