Confucian classics flourish in remote Hexi region during ancient times.
The study explores the origins of the study of Confucian classics in the Hexi region during different historical periods. It shows that the education of Confucian classics in Hexi saw rapid growth due to government support in Han Wudi's period and continued to develop significantly in the period of Five Liangs. The origins of Hexi Confucian classics can be traced back to the transmission of these classics with immigrants, scholars' connection to DOU Rong, and family education by nobles.
