Optimal fertilizer combination boosts potato yield and economic benefit significantly.
An experiment in 2011 studied the effects of different fertilizers on potato plants. Nitrogen fertilizer increased yield significantly, while phosphate and potash fertilizers did not. The best combination for the plants was 172.5 kg of nitrogen, 67.5 kg of phosphate, and 90.0 kg of potash per hectare, leading to the highest economic benefit.
