The study analyzed the chemical components in tobacco leaves from Enshi in 2008 and 2009. The quality suitable range index for key components like reducing sugar, total sugar, and total alkaloids was consistent between the two years. The ratios of these components in Enshi were similar to those in Guizhou, Shandong, and Yunnan provinces, with Enshi falling in the middle range. Overall, the chemical components and ratios in Enshi tobacco leaves were balanced and met the standards for high-quality tobacco.
