The researchers found that using specific amounts of nitrogen, phosphate, and potassium fertilizers can greatly improve the yield and quality of wheat, corn, and vegetables in Henan Province. For wheat, applying 270 kg N/hm2 and 120 kg P2O5/hm2 with 180 kg K2O/hm2 led to a yield of 6,880 kg/hm2. Maize yielded best with 225 kg N/hm2, 120 kg P2O5/hm2, and 180 kg K2O/hm2, producing 7,640 kg/hm2. Radish and cabbage also showed increased yields with specific fertilizer combinations.
