Optimizing Fertilizer Application Boosts Rice Yield and Quality Significantly
The study looked at how applying nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizers affects rice growth and quality. They found that using all three fertilizers together gave the highest grain yield. The fertilizers also improved rice quality by increasing head rice rate and decreasing chalkiness. Protein content in brown rice increased with nitrogen and phosphorus application. However, as the amount of fertilizers increased, efficiency in nutrient absorption and grain production decreased. The interaction between nitrogen and phosphorus, nitrogen and potassium, and phosphorus and potassium affected grain yield significantly. It was concluded that the right balance of fertilizers is important for maximizing rice growth and quality.
