New fertilizer boosts strawberry plant growth and flowering in hot climates!
A water-soluble fertilizer without nitrogen was sprayed on strawberry plants to see how it affected their growth and flowering. The study used a strawberry variety called 'Seolhyang' and sprayed the fertilizer on the leaves every month starting in late July. The plants treated with the fertilizer had more leaves and weighed more than the control group. The plants also had a higher budding ratio and more flowers compared to the control group. This means that spraying the plants with this special fertilizer during the summer helped them grow better and produce more flowers.
