The study looked at how investing in environmental improvements affects both financial and environmental outcomes in Cleaner Production projects. By analyzing data from 80 projects, the researchers found that there is a point where investing in the environment leads to the highest financial and environmental returns. They also discovered that financial and environmental returns influence each other in a balanced way, with financial returns having a bigger impact on environmental outcomes than the other way around.
