Millennials' Values Shape Future of Civic Engagement.
The article explores what motivates millennials to engage in civic activities. Researchers studied 159 millennials in service-learning classes at a university to understand the factors that lead to civic engagement. They found that the values and influences that prompt millennials to start participating in civic activities may differ from those that keep them engaged in the long run. This study used Pancer's Integrative Theory of Civic Engagement to analyze the initiating factors for civic engagement among millennials.
