Forest Road Construction Threatens Ecosystems, but Boosts Local Economy
The study evaluated the environmental, social, and economic effects of building a forest road in Dohezar, Tonekabon. Using the Geocybernetic Assessment Matrix, the researchers found that the road construction had negative impacts on the environment, especially during construction. However, the road provided social and economic benefits after completion, leading to a consistent overall assessment score throughout the project phases. The Geocybernetic Assessment Matrix proved to be a useful tool for assessing and interpreting the environmental, social, and economic impacts of road construction projects in the region.
