The researchers studied the soil in a karstic lowland area in Mangarabombang Subdistrict. They wanted to figure out what type of soil was there. They looked at things like soil color, texture, and chemical properties. They found that the soil in the undulating and flat areas was Vertisol, with limestone as the parent rock. The soil in the flat areas was Inceptisol, also with limestone as the parent rock. The type of soil formed was influenced by factors like low rainfall, limestone, and the shape of the land.
