Floods are dangerous natural disasters causing widespread damage and deaths worldwide. China and Japan have long histories of flood control policies, with China focusing on structures like dams and dykes, while Japan used civil engineering technology. However, floods still occur despite these measures. This research compares the effectiveness of these policies to improve flood control understanding.
