New solid fuel briquette from Imperata cylindrica and mango peels revolutionizes energy industry!
The researchers aimed to create solid fuel briquettes using Imperata cylindrica, mango peels, and face masks. They analyzed the properties of the briquettes before and after the process. The best results were obtained from a combination of Imperata cylindrica and mango peels, with low moisture content, high volatile matter, low ash content, and high fixed carbon. The briquette had a carbon content of 68.8%, with hydrogen, sulphur, and nitrogen contents of 4.5%, 0.3%, and 0.96% respectively. The calorific value was 24.2 MJ kg-1.
